10 Safety Features of the 2024 Porsche Taycan

The 2024 Porsche Taycan is Porsche’s electric car model, rivaling other electric cars in the market.

There are approximately 20 Taycan models to choose from, and they are all designed with safety in mind. Look at our list below to see the specific safety features the Taycan models offer.

10 Safety Features of the 2024 Porsche Taycan

Headlights

The Taycan models have HD-Matrix-design LED headlights. These lights give a close-to-normal view of the road ahead and will illuminate or dim according to the situation without blinding oncoming drivers.

Cornering Headlights

The Taycan’s technology utilizes speed, camera, and navigation data to illuminate the road as effectively as possible. When it senses a corner ahead, based on the driver’s speed and steering angle, it can rotate the headlights towards the inside of the road’s curve.

Night Vision Assist

The Taycan has the technology to see up to 100 yards further into the darkness than the headlights can illuminate. In this way, it can detect people or large animals not yet visible in the headlights, giving the driver sufficient advance warning to prevent a collision.

Head-Up Display

The Taycan’s Head-Up feature projects your speed, navigational directions, and other informational data onto your windshield just below your eye line. This lets you concentrate on the road ahead while receiving important driving information.

Driver Assist Systems

Every Taycan model has a collection of driver assistance systems, including lane change assist, lane departure warning, and a pre- and post-collision safety system. These systems were designed for accident avoidance assistance.

Adaptive Cruise Control

This system assists the driver when traveling on highways or in traffic, situations where accidents frequently happen. It will slow your vehicle if you are getting too close to a car ahead of you and will even stop your vehicle to avoid a fender bender. It also has active lane keep so your vehicle stays centered in your lane.

Rear Axle Steering

The Taycan is a powerful and fast car. Rear-axle steering stabilizes the rear end at speeds.

Torque Vectoring

Porsche’s torque vectoring system helps improve Taycan’s cornering and steering when driving at higher speeds.

Noise Insulated Glass

This type of glass reduces cabin noises that distract the driver. It is also thermally insulated to reduce the sun’s degrading effects on the car’s interior.

Stability and Traction Control

Stability control senses when the vehicle is being handled in a way that exceeds its limits, reduces engine power, and/or applies brakes to keep the driver from losing control of the vehicle. Traction control is similar in that it senses when the vehicle does not have enough traction and will adjust the tires to grip the road better.
