A 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission comes standard, with a 6-speed manual available as a no-cost option on all trims except the GT4 RS.
Performance
The base Cayman accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph. The Cayman S improves these figures to 4.4 seconds and 177 mph. The GTS 4.0 reaches 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and achieves 182 mph, while the Sport Chrono Package reduces the sprint to 3.9 seconds. The GT4 RS dominates with a 3.2-second 0-60 mph time and 196 mph top speed. Every trim features Porsche Active Suspension Management, with optional ceramic composite brakes providing enhanced stopping power.
Interior
The standard 8-inch touchscreen display with Porsche Communication Management anchors the technology interface. Sport-Tex leather seats grace the Cayman and Style Edition, while the GTS 4.0 receives Race-Tex interior with contrast stitching. The GT4 RS features full bucket seats with carbon fiber reinforced plastic construction. Storage capacity includes 5.3 cubic feet in the front trunk and 9.7 cubic feet in the rear. Apple CarPlay compatibility comes standard, with optional Bose or Burmester audio systems available. The GTS 4.0 and GT4 RS receive the GT Sport steering wheel.
