The 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster is a convertible sports car. As the final production year of this generation, it features a mid-engine layout that delivers exceptional balance and handling. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster is available in four trims: 718 Boxster, 718 Boxster Style Edition, 718 Boxster S, and 718 Boxster GTS 4.0. The base Boxster comes equipped with 18-inch Boxster wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights, and a central oval brushed stainless steel tailpipe. The Style Edition adds Ruby Star Neo exclusive paint with white sport stripes and 20-inch Carrera S wheels in high-gloss black. Moving up to the Boxster S brings 19-inch wheels paired with larger brake rotors. The range-topping GTS 4.0 features 20-inch 718 Sport wheels in satin black, sport exhaust with black tailpipes, and LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System. All models include a power-folding soft top with a heated glass rear window, available in black, blue, brown, or red.
Engine (Power)
The base Boxster and Style Edition models are powered by a 2.0L turbocharged flat-four engine producing 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, featuring VarioCam Plus technology and integrated dry-sump lubrication. The Boxster S steps up to a 2.5L turbocharged flat-four with Variable Turbine Geometry, delivering 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. The GTS 4.0 leads the range with a 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six engine generating 394 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. All models come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic available as an option.
Performance
With the manual transmission, the base Boxster reaches 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph. The Boxster S accelerates to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph. The GTS 4.0 delivers the strongest performance, hitting 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and reaching 182 mph. PDK-equipped models are even quicker, with the base model reaching 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, the S in 4.2 seconds, and the GTS 4.0 in 4.0 seconds. The GTS 4.0 includes Porsche Active Suspension Management with Normal and Sport modes, plus a sports chassis lowered by 20mm. Porsche Torque Vectoring with a mechanical rear differential lock is available across the range.
Interior
The 718 Boxster features sport seats with partial leather upholstery in the base and S models, while the GTS 4.0 adds Race-Tex interior trim with contrast stitching and a heated GT Sport steering wheel. A 7-inch touchscreen with Porsche Communication Management and Apple CarPlay integration comes standard, along with a 4.6-inch color screen in the instrument cluster. The center console rises toward the dashboard, showcasing the traditional three-round instrument cluster with a centered tachometer. Two-zone automatic climate control is standard, and buyers can choose from interior colors including Black, Agate Grey, Black-Bordeaux Red, and Black-Crayon. A BOSE surround sound system is available to replace the standard Sound Package Plus.
Safety Features
Standard safety equipment includes Porsche Stability Management with ABS and traction control, front and side airbags with Porsche Side Impact Protection, and automatic emergency braking. Front and rear ParkAssist with a reversing camera helps with parking maneuvers, while the Tire Pressure Monitoring System ensures optimal tire performance. Additional safety features include Rain Sensor wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, and an alarm system with interior surveillance. Lane Change Assist is available as an option on all trim levels.
